I have joined a few crafty places.

I am now into altered crafts

and to get myself inspired

I joined these places:

and

Craft Happens

They have all kind of fun swaps for 

all your craft ideas.

What got me into this was Tee from

I got to do my first tag swap with Tee.

Here is the lovely tag that Tee sent me:

and the tag I made for her. Mind you,

my budget is like zero dollars to do this artwork,

so I went to my old box of sewing things and wrapping paper and stuff and came up with this:

I had purple lace and peach lace so it wasn't exactly fall colors but I used what I had. I sure had fun with it!

I had fun!

I can't wait to do more!

Well.... not really. I quit my job on my birthday this year, May 15th and I still don't have another job. I thought it was going to be a little easier getting a job, but in this economy, it sucks.
But I am enjoying being at home for now.

I applied at several places lately that I has nothing to do with my skills,
like Joanne's Fabrics and Tuesday Morning and Hobby Lobby and
Walgreens.
We will see.

In the mean time...........

Today I have been busy with my list making. HAha!

But I wrote a silly something in my other blog, so head on over and give me some love

I am a person that goes hog wild once I am into something 

I love doing.

right now it is scrapping / altered things, like tags, cards, scrapbook

pages and such.

So, I went on over to You Tube and watched a few things, 

which then turned into watching videos

for the last 2 hours.

I learned a lot!

I do not have a large budget, I mean I don't have a budget at all

to make my crafts. But I did get some ideas on how to make homemade

glimmer mist and alcohol ink and daubers and distress pads

and so much more. 

NOW, I just have to figure out what alcohol ink or glimmer mist ink or distress ink

 is used for. So, I need help, any help I can get!

(yea, yea...those that know me know, know what HELP I really need ) 

LOL!

So, all you lovely crafty ladies or gents,

Does one need all these inks and what are they used for?

Because I am so dang busy this morning to write the blog I intended to

I will give you a 

PINK Saturday.

I have a small Momma Agenda I bought, it is PINK of course

BUT, soon after I bought it I realized it was too small for what I was needing.

So, I bought this beauty:

It is a day planner, it is brown with 

PINK swirls, I love it.

As you can see it almost looks like 

an ALTERED PLANNER, albeit unintentionally.

Almost anything I felt I needed to save

be it magazine pages, any paper or sticky I wrote on, any receipts that were part of the business, calendar pages torn from one of my other calendars and just about anything else is placed into this trusty planner.

I am a list maker and I jot things down all the time.

So, this is my go-to book.

I even tried doing things digitally once

I scanned things in, I would transfer all my lists and put it all into computerized notebooks, but that didn't work for me, cause there were times I needed my lists with me.

I like having this tangible "workstation", so to speak.

Do you have a trusty planner that you can't live without?

A song that I had in my head when I woke up this morn at oh-datk-thirty!

I even wrote a blog entry about this wonderful occasion and put it 

on my new blog "I Ain't Tinkerbell"

I started this other blog of mine, cause there are times I want to let loose and say it as it is, but I don't want it on my family blog.

So , if you want to see my rants and such please check me out over there every once in a while. And by no means, do I ever mean to offend anyone, whatever it is I write about.

I am trying to be crafty!

I am doing a tag swap with this lovely lady, Tee, from 

I am having a blast so far and that isn't saying much cause I have never made a tag before participating in this swap.

I even went so far as to watch some
You Tube videos about tag making.
You know how when you are on You Tube and
you click on other stuff after you watch your video.
Well, somehow I ended up watching some ladies that
video their "haul".  Ladies that go shopping for tag supplies, then video tape
their "haul of supplies" they purchased.
I am not exactly sure why, but there are bunches of these on Your Tube.
I did learn a few things from them, and I also got a good laugh
at some of them that didn't know how to handle their cameras.

I have been on my a$$ literally all day.

I have been playing with making a new blog.

Yep, A new blog.

Like I can even have time for a new blog.

I actually did it for testing purposes at first.

Mainly to test templates.

Hide and seek 

the way it is supposed to be played!

My Brookie loves to play hide and seek.  

When she was 2 years old, she started out by hiding in places where we could see her.  And she always wanted to be the one to hide.

Then she got the idea to actually hide, 

but when we would yell, "Where could Brookie be?" , she would answer "I am right here"!

 Oh.. how precious is that?! . 

Then she got to where she would let us hide.

She would make us hide first 

and then when it was her turn, 

she would hide in the exact spot we did!

 But at least she did get the idea to be silent until we found her.

 She has not quite mastered the game completely, but who cares…. 

It's absolutely a joy to play with her!

Pink Saturday!

So, I went to the local Goodwill store and got these little flower pots

and the darling little beach chair.

The pots are about  5" tall

and the beach chair about 10" tall.

(I love beach decor and have decided to do some decorating with it and these are my first buys toward that).
Since being out of a job and money tight, the good old Goodwill has been a fun place to go.

I love our little store here in my town.

For one reason, I live a few miles from the beach, so there tends to be a lot of things that come from a bit of the more affluent people, which I do not claim to be and I don't mean any offense to anyone. But,

I have found some really great things there that I would never even think of buying at full price.

I have spent as little as $20 and come home with 3 or 4 skirts, a purse and 3 darling trinkets that no doubt would have cost me close to $280.

Or not so wordless...

We have a new little terror amongst us.

He is appropriately named BANDIT.

He sits among the lemons

that are falling from the lemon tree faster than I can get them picked.

I lost my whole dang blog last night!
But HEY... IT"S OKAY!

Blogger was going screwy!!!!!! 

 I, being a little too geeky for my own good was tweaking with the design of it. I am a little obsessive when it comes to web design. I like simple, but there are small little cutsey things I also like. So, I went into photoshop and designed a simple post footer. It didn't come out great (as you can see below), but I was tired, so I decided I would use it even with it's little imperfections. Then I got the code to place it into my blogger template. 

All was fine... really it was!

 Then I went a little too far I guess with a few other things and POOF, I friggin' screwed up broke my blog!
  

I spent a good part of 2 hours trying every which way I could to get it all back, then finally went to bed to grab some TV Shows computer streaming shows. Then this morning, I spent the last 35 mins okay... almost a hour and half getting my blog back and doing a little tweaking. Another good thing I got to do was visit some other blogs , like

The Pioneer Woman  (wonderful lady and she is on TV too!)
Angie Uncovered  (what a hoot this lady is, you gotta visit her!)

I learn so many things each and every time I visit other blogs. Then I come back to my blog and wonder what I can tweak on it.

BUT.... I think I will leave it alone and spend more time posting and visiting!
