OMGG

OMGG
in other words...
Oh My Goodness Gracious!

I have spend a tad over 2 hours looking at a bunch or You Tube videos and checked
website after website about
Home Organizing and
the Home Binder type system.

I am in the process of making a
Home Binder
for my household.
The thing about me, and I have said this before about
my over zealous type personality that I have.
Basically I get obsessed with certain things that I like doing (or have a passion to do)
and I go "hog wild"
with it.
I even get to the point that I can't sleep at night thinking about all the things I want to accomplish.
BUT, I am a planner/sketcher/list maker.
I do more of all the prep work , way more than I need to, before I
even get started.
Of course, all with good intentions!

These are some of the things lately that I have been "hog wild" about:

1) Blogging:
I got my blogs started, but, as usual, I spent more time with the techie part
of having a blog than the blog writing.
It is a work in progress, and something I think
about everyday.
My goal : Write more often and have fun with it.

2) Crafting/paper crafts.
Now, I have done a few tags and ATC's (Artist Trading Cards) and even did
a mini album Recipe Page, ableit, all for swaps.
BUT, I have watched hours and hours
of You Tube videos about flower making, mini album tutorials, card making,
inking and stamping! I should be an expert by now!
Now....I just have to actually get my paper crafting underway.
My goal: Start with the first project I have a passion to complete ,
make it for my home and have fun with it!

 3) Home Binder
I have had my own planner book for the last two years
and have also had a financial binder for these two years also,
but I want a little more from this menial system I had been using.
My goal: Make the binder user (me) friendly and start my New Year with it!

So, all reasonable goals!
Y'all can check back with me
to see how I fair.

Everyone take care
and have yourselves
some magnificent holidays!

Craft. ish stuff

I don't know about anyone else, but I have been swamped doing craft items for several swaps.
I have yet to do anything for my family, but I am done with swap projects as of today.
I am so happy to have learned so much while creating so many things for these swaps,
albeit a lot of trial and error.

I have been scouring You Tube for
a whole lot of inspiration to
make my first ever mini album.
I will attempt to do a Christmas one.
I will also be trying to get a few gift minis done, but
with being such a newbie, I hope it doesn't take me into the
wee hours of the night every night to get
these things done.
I will not worry if I don't get anything done, cause everything I
will try and make will still be good to give later.

Well... off to watch me some football! Woohoo!

Soft scrub... homemade...

I had soft scrub, the orange kid on my list to get
at the grocery store yesterday.
But when I got there, my store didn't have it, they had the
regular soft scrub. But when I saw the price I about
gagged right there in front to the lady that was walking by me.
It was $6 and some change.
No way was I buying that.
Well, I was looking around for other off brand soft scrubs,
I was looking for any orange scrub, but none was there.

I noticed some orange dishwashing detergent, store brand. And then I saw some
cheap natural powder cleanser by Bon Ami. I read the ingredients in the Bon Ami and I liked that it was all natural.
So, I bought these 2 products figuring I could make my own soft scrub.
The store brand detergent cost $3.29
and the Bon Ami cost 99cents.

I did make a wonderful soft scrub and for
only 81 cents a bottle.
And I have enough product left to make 4 more bottles.

Please see the video I made about it :

Small revamp...

I am working on a small revamp of my living room.
I brought in 2 blackish (you can see a little wood grain in them) from my patio room. They belong to my daughter , but I have been storing them here for more than a year, and it doesn't look like she will be using them anytime soon or even later so she has kindle let me use them.

I wanted to add them to the same wall that my TV is at to make a unit for all my videos and pictures.
I also have several pictures to put up
and so many more to get get framed and hung.

I have pale yellow walls with white baseboards
and  I have used nothing but black frames
for all my photos so far.

Here is a little video I put together to share:

Thanks for stopping by!
Take care everyone!!

Halloween Tag Swap!

 Halloween Tag Swap
{video clip}

My little video sharing with you the tag I made for a tag swap I participated in.
Please click the above link to view my video.

Here are the pictures of my tag.
I made two in case one came out icky, I could send the better of the two. LOL

!!! Spoiler Alert !!!
Don't peak Jo from Australia {my swap partner}.

The tags have purple, black and gold fibers, I also made a small little pocket for the tiny removable tags that say "Witches Ball"
{came from The Altered Paper }

I used my own spritz paints I made from acrylic paints. I also used a bingo dauber and my finger to distress the edges. And I was able to pick up a small box of Halloween chipboard pieces
on sale at Joanne's for $2.99.

I don't know if you can see this very well.
and I don't know about anyone else, but
I do a sketch of the design I want to do.
Once I know I am going to work on a project, my mind starts wandering, I even sometimes will dream about what I want to make.
But .. here is my sketch.... don't laugh too hard!

The swap was hosted by Tee from
**Go and see her blog, she hosts several other swaps all year round.**

Thanks
and
Take Care!

Swapping stuff...

I have joined a few crafty places.
I am now into altered crafts
and to get myself inspired
I joined these places:
and

They have all kind of fun swaps for
all your craft ideas.

What got me into this was Tee from

I got to do my first tag swap with Tee.
Here is the lovely tag that Tee sent me:

and the tag I made for her. Mind you,
my budget is like zero dollars to do this artwork,
so I went to my old box of sewing things and wrapping paper and stuff and came up with this:

I had purple lace and peach lace so it wasn't exactly fall colors
but I used what I had.
I sure had fun with it!

I cut up a gift bag that I had from a birthday gift
I got back in 2000. I knew I saved that bag
for a reason. LOL

I had fun!
I can't wait to do more!

Y'all take care now!

I love how the year has gone by so fast...

Well.... not really. I quit my job on my birthday this year, May 15th and I still don't have another job. I thought it was going to be a little easier getting a job, but in this economy, it sucks.
But I am enjoying being at home for now.

I applied at several places lately that I has nothing to do with my skills,
like Joanne's Fabrics and Tuesday Morning and Hobby Lobby and
Walgreens.
We will see.

In the mean time...........

Just simply here and busy...

Today I have been busy with my list making. HAha!

But I wrote a silly something in my other blog, so head on over and give me some love
over at "I Ain't Tinkerbell"

I hope you get a good laugh!

Y'all take care and have a great Monday!

Addiction time...

I am a person that goes hog wild once I am into something
I love doing.
right now it is scrapping / altered things, like tags, cards, scrapbook
pages and such.

So, I went on over to You Tube and watched a few things,
which then turned into watching videos
for the last 2 hours.

I learned a lot!
I do not have a large budget, I mean I don't have a budget at all
to make my crafts. But I did get some ideas on how to make homemade
glimmer mist and alcohol ink and daubers and distress pads
and so much more.
NOW, I just have to figure out what alcohol ink or glimmer mist ink or distress ink
 is used for. So, I need help, any help I can get!
(yea, yea...those that know me know, know what HELP I really need )
LOL!

So, all you lovely crafty ladies or gents,
Does one need all these inks and what are they used for?

THANKS!

PINK Saturday show off...

Because I am so dang busy this morning to write the blog I intended to
I will give you a
PINK Saturday.

I have a small Momma Agenda I bought, it is PINK of course

BUT, soon after I bought it I realized it was too small for what I was needing.

So, I bought this beauty:

It is a day planner, it is brown with
PINK swirls, I love it.

As you can see it almost looks like
an ALTERED PLANNER, albeit unintentionally.
Almost anything I felt I needed to save
be it magazine pages, any paper or sticky I wrote on, any receipts that were part of the business, calendar pages torn from one of my other calendars and just about anything else is placed into this trusty planner.

I am a list maker and I jot things down all the time.
So, this is my go-to book.
I even tried doing things digitally once
I scanned things in, I would transfer all my lists and put it all into computerized notebooks, but that didn't work for me, cause there were times I needed my lists with me.
I like having this tangible "workstation", so to speak.

Do you have a trusty planner that you can't live without?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
PINK SATURDAY, Woohoo!
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
Head on over to "How Sweet the Sound" to join up with your Pink!
I'm Awake
"I'm Awake"
It's a Katy Perry song.
A song that I had in my head when I woke up this morn at oh-datk-thirty!
I even wrote a blog entry about this wonderful occasion and put it
on my new blog "I Ain't Tinkerbell"
I started this other blog of mine, cause there are times I want to let loose and say it as it is, but I don't want it on my family blog.
So , if you want to see my rants and such please check me out over there every once in a while. And by no means, do I ever mean to offend anyone, whatever it is I write about.
I am trying to be crafty!
I am doing a tag swap with this lovely lady, Tee, from
I am having a blast so far and that isn't saying much cause I have never made a tag before participating in this swap.
I even went so far as to watch some
You Tube videos about tag making.
You know how when you are on You Tube and
you click on other stuff after you watch your video.
Well, somehow I ended up watching some ladies that
video their "haul".  Ladies that go shopping for tag supplies, then video tape
their "haul of supplies" they purchased.
I am not exactly sure why, but there are bunches of these on Your Tube.
I did learn a few things from them, and I also got a good laugh
at some of them that didn't know how to handle their cameras.
You all take care now and have a great Friday!
Something absolutely useless,
Mainly to test templates.
Smart phones are too smart for their britches...
Ring ring….
Buzzzzz buzzzzzz, viiibbbrrraaaate. You can't go anywhere without seeing people talking on cell phones.
And Yes, I have a cell phone.
It isn't a very smart one, though. It is an older version, but it is a touch screen,  LOL.
Just how important are cell phones in our lives…
Emergencies, right?  I mean, like when  you are shopping and you are in the meat section and can't figure out what hunk of meat to buy and you pull out that wonderful cell phone to call the spouse to find out, while the butcher is eyeing you.
Are you more a talker or a texter?
I am a talker more than a texter, unless it is during working hours. (at least when I had a job, and NO, I didn't get let go cause of sexting  texting!)
And all those fantastic apps *:
* Your "Maps", hopefully you won't get lost (unless you are a man and you just won't check your phone for directions anyway).
* Your "family Locator". This is so you can tell if they are close so you can run far, far away!
* Your "Games" . This is so you can fill every little space of empty time with nonsense
* Your "Night Life Guide". This is so you can check for rowdy parties to infiltrate.
* Your "Animated Babes". Men... This is so you can see what you wished your women would look like, but never really look like in real life.
* Your "Sexy Cougars" For you hot young blooded men that… well, I think you know.
* Your "Girls Wanna Have Fun" For the women, need I say more??
(these are all actual apps).
One app that would be nice , would be the SHUT UP app, where if you have come to the end of your allotted minutes (who does that anyway) the app would tell you to SHUT UP.
And don't forget how handy they are, when, there you are,  sitting down,  going to the bathroom, then realize that the toilet paper roll is empty…. Man, thank goodness for cell phones!
Hide 'n seek...
Hide and seek
the way it is supposed to be played!
My Brookie loves to play hide and seek.
When she was 2 years old, she started out by hiding in places where we could see her.  And she always wanted to be the one to hide.
Then she got the idea to actually hide,
but when we would yell, "Where could Brookie be?" , she would answer "I am right here"!
 Oh.. how precious is that?! .
Then she got to where she would let us hide.
She would make us hide first
and then when it was her turn,
she would hide in the exact spot we did!
 But at least she did get the idea to be silent until we found her.
 She has not quite mastered the game completely, but who cares….
It's absolutely a joy to play with her!
PINK Saturday, look what I found...
Pink Saturday!
So, I went to the local Goodwill store and got these little flower pots
and the darling little beach chair.
The pots are about  5" tall
and the beach chair about 10" tall.
(I love beach decor and have decided to do some decorating with it and these are my first buys toward that).
Since being out of a job and money tight, the good old Goodwill has been a fun place to go.
Beach decor
I love our little store here in my town.
For one reason, I live a few miles from the beach, so there tends to be a lot of things that come from a bit of the more affluent people, which I do not claim to be and I don't mean any offense to anyone. But,
I have found some really great things there that I would never even think of buying at full price.
I have spent as little as $20 and come home with 3 or 4 skirts, a purse and 3 darling trinkets that no doubt would have cost me close to $280.
Anyways... Hope you all have a wonderful Pink Saturday!
Head on over to "How Sweet the Sound" to join up with your Pink!
My take on Vintage Thingy Thursday
I am participating in:
I spent more time than I wanted to over at Pinterest today, like this is new, NOT, LOL. But I decided I WILL work on something vintage for my home and saved quite a few things to my Pinterest boards that I want to do.
Wthout further ramblings from me...… here are a few fancies:
I want very much to do a whole wall like this. I am sure it will work great on my off white walls.
Wordless Wednesday
Or not so wordless...
We have a new little terror amongst us.
He is appropriately named BANDIT.
He sits among the lemons
that are falling from the lemon tree faster than I can get them picked.
He is teeny compared to our other "small" dog, Wyatt.
Here he is with TRuck, giving him some love.
Happy Wednesday to all!
One Broke Blog!
DANG IT!
I lost my whole dang blog last night!
But HEY... IT"S OKAY!
Blogger was going screwy!!!!!!
 I, being a little too geeky for my own good was tweaking with the design of it. I am a little obsessive when it comes to web design. I like simple, but there are small little cutsey things I also like. So, I went into photoshop and designed a simple post footer. It didn't come out great (as you can see below), but I was tired, so I decided I would use it even with it's little imperfections. Then I got the code to place it into my blogger template.
All was fine... really it was!
 Then I went a little too far I guess with a few other things and POOF, I friggin' screwed up broke my blog!
I spent a good part of 2 hours trying every which way I could to get it all back, then finally went to bed to grab some TV Shows computer streaming shows. Then this morning, I spent the last 35 mins okay... almost a hour and half getting my blog back and doing a little tweaking. Another good thing I got to do was visit some other blogs , like
  Totally tutorials tips tricks recipes how tos
and
The Pioneer Woman  (wonderful lady and she is on TV too!)
Angie Uncovered  (what a hoot this lady is, you gotta visit her!)
I learn so many things each and every time I visit other blogs. Then I come back to my blog and wonder what I can tweak on it.
BUT.... I think I will leave it alone and spend more time posting and visiting!
I participated in "HEY... IT"S OKAY!" hosted by
Airing My Dirty Laundry
You'all take care now and have a great week!
Talk at ya later peeps!
