Left Shoulder...

by - 6/23/2008 11:09:00 AM

My left shoulder is a painin’ me something fierce these last few days. I had a TDAP (tetanus diphtheria, etc) shot there in the upper muscle because I got a scrape from a screw on our corral, but that has been too long to be having this occur now. Anyway, for the last week it seems to be getting a little more painful and I am sure it is not a case of Momma Shoulder. It could be that I have been doing more with the horses on a continual basis then ever before (YEEHAW), it could be that I am old (YEEHAW) it could be that I ran into one of the door frames in the house… yea there has always been a door there (not so YEEHAW). Or maybe it is all the above. Whatever it is, it will pass.

Movin’ on…

  1. Were you treated with antibiotics for infection when the screw scraped you? That's the first thing that comes to my mind. Infections can wreak havoc on your body.

I know about pains that you can't attribute to anything in particular. I rarely remember the cause on my cuts, bruises, burns, and pains, but they go away fairly quickly if they aren't serious.

  2. They most likely bruised your muscle!! It probably didn't help that you bumped the door frame either!!Of course if you and DNaC would stop chasing each other throught the house, that wouldn't of happened!(he! he!) Let him catch you sometimes!! In the mean time get some ice! and a heat pack and alternate them!!

  5. Thank you all for your kind words and your input. I have never tried ALEVE, I hear it is pretty good. I tend to just wait things out without meds if I can. But I may do something about this this time.

    take care all!

  9. Ouch! Glad to hear that the Aleve is helping. Maybe you have a case of the Momma Shoulder with a little bit of rotator cuff scar tissue in there :)
